The maternity unit is structured into four specialized categories, each tailored to meet specific needs during different stages of pregnancy, delivery, and postnatal care.

 1. Antenatal Ward:
– This ward is dedicated to **pregnant mothers who require observation and care before entering active labor.
– Expectant mothers are monitored closely by skilled medical personnel to ensure both maternal and fetal health.
– Any complications or concerns are addressed promptly to prepare the mother for a safe and smooth delivery.

2. Delivery Ward:
– Designed for pregnant mothers who are in the active stage of labor.
– Patients are continuously monitored and supported by experienced obstetricians, nurses, and midwives to ensure a safe and successful delivery.
– The ward is equipped with advanced tools and technology to handle both normal and emergency deliveries, including caesarean sections.

3. Postnatal Ward:
– This ward cares for mothers who have recently given birth or undergone a caesarean section.
– Mothers are admitted here for continued monitoring to ensure their recovery is progressing well.
– Support is provided for breastfeeding, postpartum care, and guidance on newborn care to help mothers transition smoothly into their new roles.

4. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC):
– Specialized care for premature babies and small newborns weighing less than 2500 grams.
– Focuses on close monitoring and skin-to-skin contact to regulate the baby’s temperature, improve bonding, and promote healthy development.
– Staff provide guidance and support to mothers on how to care for their preterm or low-birthweight babies during this critical period.
